Community Event Recap: Family Camp 2026

This summer, we welcomed 7 families for our first Family Camp Weekend in the Colorado mountains.

Our vision for Family Camp was simply to provide space for families to be together in God’s creation. Between work, school, sports, church, activities, and the ordinary busyness of family life, it can be difficult to slow down and simply enjoy one another. So we designed a weekend that made room for family, fun, fellowship, and time in God’s creation.

One of the things we love about gathering is the opportunity to step outside of our normal routines and experience the beauty of God's creation. Family Camp included early-morning hikes for both the men and women. This brief time away created intentional space to get outside, slow down, have meaningful conversations, and enjoy the mountains together.

We believe there is something special about meeting God outside of our normal routines and making room to notice what He has created.

Of course, Family Camp wouldn't be Family Camp without a little friendly competition.

Throughout the weekend, we had a variety of games from volleyball to charades to Bluey-inspired keepy uppy, giving everyone plenty of opportunities to have fun together.

There was also a full water day and picnic, along with plenty of unstructured time for kids to play and families to simply enjoy being together. Family Camp gave families permission and space to play. This kind of fellowship is at the heart of what we hope to create through 121 Retreat. We believe people are refreshed not only through rest and recreation, but through meaningful relationships and community.

In a world where family time can easily become another item on a crowded calendar, Family Camp offered an intentional weekend away where families could put down the usual responsibilities and focus on one another.

We're excited to continue creating opportunities for people to step away from the ordinary, experience God's creation, strengthen relationships, and be refreshed together.
